On Friday, an individual of Chechen origin with an S file fatally stabbed a teacher and injured three other people at a high school in Arras, causing chaos and panic in the school. Interviewed by Europe 1, Gaspard witnessed the scene and said he saw the killer with his own eyes.

Parents crying in front of the school, students in lockdown and confusion reigning. This Friday morning, the Gambetta high school in Arras in the Pas-de-Calais region experienced horror. Mohammed Mogushkov, 20, of Chechen origin and registered as S, fatally stabbed a teacher before wounding three others and eventually being arrested. Gaspard, a high school student, who witnessed part of the scene, reacted to the microphone of Europe 1.

"All the way, we were guided"

"I saw a panic, I thought it was an exercise at first," he said. The young man then said that he poked his head out of the window and saw "a man on the ground already hit by the killer". According to his account, the assailant then continued his macabre journey towards the high school students. "I saw the killer coming towards us. So we closed the door and tried to hide in the foyer," the student continued.

The group was then taken care of, he says: "Someone from the CDI came to pick us up to isolate us." The presence of the teaching staff helped, in his words, to alleviate the collective fear caused by the attack. "All the way, we were guided. There wasn't too much panic, even if, inevitably, some of them were very stressed."
